On March 22, 2024, the May Day Labor Medal Award Ceremony of Licang District, Qingdao City was held. Xu Tingquan, Deputy General Manager of Qingdao Haoyue Machinery Co., Ltd., was awarded the "May Day Labor Medal".

In 1989, Xu Tingquan joined the factory as a stamping worker in the production workshop. With his diligent, rigorous, and responsible work attitude, he made extraordinary achievements in his ordinary job. From team leader to branch manager to manager of the auto parts business unit, and now to the company's vice general manager, he has demonstrated the spirit of hard work, dedication, pragmatism, and innovation of Haoyue people, bravely shouldering heavy responsibilities and contributing his own light and heat to the company's development.

The spirit of nails

He is like a tenacious nail, relentlessly pushing and drilling into problems, no matter how difficult, until he manages to find a way to solve them. Xu Tingquan, dedicated to his position, is adept at innovation and diligent in tackling challenges. He researched and designed integrated molding technology for the bottom and side plates of the gas storage tank battery frame, and surface protection technology for the aluminum alloy heat insulation cover stamping. He also streamlined the production process in the gas storage tank workshop, optimizing numerous processes. Such improvements and innovations are countless, making outstanding contributions to the company's quality and efficiency enhancement.

Labor spirit

For decades, he has steadfastly remained on the production line, working almost year-round without a break. Whenever there were employees still working in the workshop, he was there, personally teaching them how to perform incorrect or unfamiliar operations. Whether it was a day off or the dead of night, whenever production was needed, Xu Tingquan was always the first to coordinate personnel, personally leading production teams, working overtime to ensure delivery. Even now, as a vice president, he continues to uphold this commitment. Over the years, he has coordinated production tasks, planned rationally, strictly controlled quality, and ensured timely product delivery.

Dedication

He treated the factory as his home, selflessly dedicating himself to his work with utmost focus and meticulousness, pouring all his time, energy, and wisdom into it. For many years, his busy work schedule led him to neglect his family and his own health. When his parents needed care, he was unable to be by their side, leaving the responsibility of caring for them to his wife. Group leaders have consistently expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the understanding, support, and sacrifices of Xu Ting's family. It is precisely this spirit of selfless dedication that has guided the steady progress of production in the automotive parts division.

Whenever the company needs him, Xu Tingquan is always the first to step up and take the lead, organizing and coordinating personnel to overcome difficulties. Secretary Hu of the Group's Party Branch said, "There are no insurmountable difficulties in front of Xu Tingquan. He never shirks responsibility and is always at the forefront. With Tingquan around, we feel very reassured." For over thirty years, Xu Tingquan has mentored many apprentices, cultivating numerous skilled technicians for the company. His team is unmatched in both production efficiency and quality, consistently recognized as an advanced collective by the company. His apprentice, Liu Jiancheng, said of Xu Tingquan, "General Manager Xu is an upright, responsible, caring leader who protects his subordinates and maintains the team's reputation."
